Interacting with the wider community is good for both students, artists and the public at large. With the success of this exhibition Plato UMD is certain to build on this organise many others.
The exhibition was kindly opened by the Vice Rector of the Kyrgyz Turkish Manas University, Dr. Sabahattin Balci.

*Bolotbek Karakeev was born in 1948 in Frunze (now Bishkek), in the Kyrgyz Soviet Socialist Republic. He studied and learnt his craft the Frunze Art School where he graduated in 1968. His main art focus and work has been graphic design and the illustration of books. He is also an expert at easel drawing and painting techniques.

Bolotbek Karakeev created an association with the artist Alexander Karpov, called “Karak Association”, whereby both masters worked so organically that they decided to sign all their works “Karak”, irrespective of the originating artist. Although the partnership is now dissolved the pseudonym-reduction “Karak” remains.
