On the 20th April 2010 the Plato University of Management and Design (Plato UMD) signed a Protocol of Agreement with the Plato College of Higher Education in Istanbul, Turkey. This agreement extends Plato UMD's reach abroad enabling Plato UMD's students and graduates to study abroad, either to complete their education they began at Plato UMD or to further their studies to Bachelor or Masters Degree level. This agreement facilitates short-term and long-term visits for students and faculty members to continue their education or undertake joint research projects. Additionally, students and faculty from Plato College can visit Plato UMD in Bishkek to further their studies, thus enhancing Plato UMD's international community.

This agreement augments Plato UMD's commitment to provide education to students in the broadest sense, enabling students to travel abroad and experience new countries, other cultures and communities; to obtain a world perspective. The greater the cultural interchange the greater the understanding and appreciation of other peoples and life styles, and harmony.

This agreement extends Plato UMD's Higher Education networking, having previous reached an agreement with Balls State University, Indiana, USA.

It is Plato UMD's intention to expand its cooperation with other educational institutions, in conjunction with the Plato network, in Europe and especially the UK.
