THE UNIVERSITY OF MANAGEMENT AND DESIGN
OPENS ITS DOORS!

On 20th January 2010, the Plato University of Management and Design (Plato UMD), a new British / European university in Bishkek, opened its doors for the first time to the public and prospective students. To mark this milestone event, Plato UMD, in line with its social and corporate responsibility policy, sponsored a Classical Concert “Music without boundaries” by the Chui Chamber Orchestra at the A.Muldybaev Opera Theatre, as part of its inaugural ceremony. Over 800 free tickets were distributed to residents and prospective students.

The Plato University of Management and Design clearly differentiates itself from other educational institutions in the Kyrgyz Republic by offering a uniquely European style of education with internationally recognised qualifications and diplomas.

The University is working closely with the British Council in Almaty, Kazakhstan with regards to English language proficiency testing, with the British Council conducting IELTS tests locally in Bishkek.

The Preparatory Programme, covering English Language Teaching, Information Technology, Mathematics and Study Skills courses will commence in February 2010. At the same time the English Language Centre will open.

In the autumn of 2010, Plato UMD will commence its main study programmes:

International Marketing
Hospitality Management
3D Design
