The Jazz Festival will take place on October 1 and 2, 2010. The festival will take place in the Kyrgyz National Philharmony named after Toktogul Satylganov.

Public Foundation “Central Asian Arts Management” – the organizer of this jubilee festival – informed that the Fifth Jazz Festival will follow the motto of “Music Without Boundaries”. The jubilee jazz festival was scheduled for 9-10 April and was cancelled due to political revolts in the country. The fact that this festival will take place despite all challenges proves the “Jazz_Bishkek_Fall” festival’s actuality.

Jazz, a symbol of improvisation, was founded during the challenging times of the US. As this music trend was developing, it absorbed all innovative music techniques that were born during the rapidly changing economic and political conditions as well as artistic preferences. The jazz’s distinctive feature to unite individual improvisations in the unique conformed composition with the beginning, central part and conclusion can serve a strong example not only for every musician but also for all of us as it helps to build the bridges of friendship amongst people.

Jazz has always been at the peak of fashion, however, today, when we face so many challenges, jazz, as synthesis of creative music ideas, is especially actual. During the festival days the musicians despite their nationalities or ethnic background, will unite to realize their creative ideas, to search and experiment in various trends of modern jazz music

The viewers will be offered a spectacular and fascinating show program that includes performances of popular Kyrgyz bands “Insan”, “Salt Peanuts”, “Aura”, “Juma” and “Omur”. In addition, the viewers will enjoy the performances Vikram Ruzahunov’s jazz band and Kazakh group “The Magic of Nomads”. Uzbek band “Jam Five” and Tajik group “Avesto” will also offer their jazz compositions. A special guest to the jubilee festival will be a famous Russian jazz musician Igor Butman and his jazz quartet, who are always warmly welcomed to the world’s best jazz clubs and events.

The Fifth Jazz Festival will become a significant cultural event that offers Bishkek inhabitants a unique opportunity to hear a great musician, to become a part of a live concert performed by real masters and to join the world of beautiful, eternal music, isn’t it a great holiday for genuine music lovers.

So, welcome to the world of jazz – the world of spectacular ideas and opportunities which will leave long lasting unbelievable remembrances!
