News - Plato UMD’s First Knowledge Day: Plato UMD is About Success. Your Success. Print

82At the start of the 2010/2011 academic year, Plato UMD welcomed 30 freshmen to campus during Orientation Week and the Knowledge Day. With the help of the Plato UMD’s prep student volunteers, Plato University of Management and Design welcomed the new students to their new education environment.

Orientation Week included many information sessions and talks to assess the students’ education needs. The key goal of the Orientation Week was to make sure that all freshmen are aware of the university rules, procedures, and processes in advance, before they will start their studies together with other students. For example, during Orientation Week, new students learn how to read the schedule, how to register for courses, where to go for help if they need it, etc. In addition, freshmen class had a lot of fun. There were many socializing games and activities throughout the Orientation Week to help build new friendships and ease the transition for the new students. Students were treated to a lot of music and performances.

With so many new faces, we expect this to be a wonderful year, a year of the Plato UMD’s students success and year of search for knowledge.
