
Travel and Tourism
The “Travel and Tourism” program will help students acquire all the skills needed to develop a successful career in tourism. The “Travel and Tourism” curriculum is accredited by the British Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC) and is an exclusive program of the University of Management and Design in the Kyrgyz Republic. The practical training will ensure a deep understanding of the organization and management of a touristic business, as well as the acquisition of professional competences. Students will be able to improve their knowledge, professional and personal experiences necessary to develop a successful career in tourism. In particular, our students will study the principles of sustainable tourism development, organizing and carrying out thematic events, retail travel operations, principles of hospitality, etc. The program also entails practical training and visits to leading organizations in the country related to tourism, such as "Kyrgyz Concept", hotel "Hyatt" and "Manas" airport.
The curriculum of the "Travel and Tourism" program aims at:
- Development of professional competences in the field of tourism, organizing touristic tours, development of entertainment for tourists, ecotourism, adventure tourism, etc.
- Development of professional skills necessary for a successful career growth in a chosen profession
- The possibility of getting an academic degree, supported by a diploma with an international recognition.
- Providing the opportunity of continuing education at universities worldwide, accredited by the British Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC), to obtain an academic degree in the field of tourism.
