FuMing Young
Instructor of Art and Design Programme
FuMing Young is the founder and director of !nkubasia, a business incubator aimed at empowering entrepreneurs to start customer-focused businesses in Central Asia. He has over 18 years of experience in product management and marketing in media/technology businesses. He has managed products at Knight-Ridder (the 2nd largest newspaper publisher in the US), Amazon.com (largest online retailer in the world), and numerous Silicon Valley start-up companies. He is currently also Assistant Professor of Software Engineering at AUCA where he teaches courses in website design and development

Mehrigul Ablezova
Instructor of International Business Program
A highly experienced marketing research expert with a variety of teaching interests such as sociology, economic and marketing research, research methods and others. Ms. Ablezova is an awardee of numerous international research grants and prizes. Ms. Ablezova holds a Master’s degree in Sociology from Ball State University (USA) and a Bachelor's degree in sociology from American University of Central Asia.
Dr. Almaz Biybosunov
Instructor of International Business Program
A distinguished professor of business mathematics, economic modeling and economic research, Dr. Almaz Biybosunov holds a Ph.D. Degree in Physical and Mathematical Sciences. During his professional career, Dr. Biybosunov has been holding executive positions in the Ministry of Industry and External Trade of Kyrgyzstan, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Representation of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UN (New York), President Administration and others. Currently he holds a position of General Director of the Karakol Free Economic Zone.

Saadat Djanbaeva
Instructor of the Travel and Tourism Program
Saadat holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from the Institute of Hospitality Management in Prague. She has interned at major hotel brands in the US and has experience working in the tourism industry. Having spent most of her time in Europe, she has returned to her home country and believes tourism is an important area of development for Kyrgyzstan, hoping to contribute to it in some way through teaching in UMD.

Marina Tzaritzyna
Head of English Language Programme
Marina Tzaritzyna graduated from Kyrgyz State University in 1987. She has over 22 years’ experience in teaching English in different higher educational establishments: State Agricultural Institute, college “Kyrgyz Jer,” International University of Kyrgyzstan, Academy of Management under the president of Kyrgyz Republic. She had been working at AUCA from August 1998 to August 2011, teaching the following courses: Grammar, Vocabulary Improvement, English and American Idioms and Phrasal Verbs, Critical Thinking Skills, TOEFL Strategies, English for Academic and Specific Purposes, Composition, First Year Seminar.
Bubuira Akmoldoeva
Head of Travel & Tourism department
Bubuira Akmoldoeva (1955) studied cultural anthropology at Moscow State University and got her PhD in 1983 at the same university. She was working at the History Department of Kyrgyz State University and Humanities Department of American University of Kyrgyzstan. She is a specialist in history and culture of Central Asia people and an experienced field researcher. Prof. Akmoldoeva was one of the first ethnographers from newly independent Kyrgyzstan who got a Fulbright Scholarship in 1994. During her visit to the USA she was learning about American education system and visited several universities where she did a presentation about Kyrgyz people and their traditions. She is actively participating to scientific conferences and working on syllabi (some of those approved by Ministry of Education and Science of KR). In the early nineties she did a lot of tourism training and consultancy in Frunze Travel Agency and worked as a guide in Kyrgyzstan. Currently she is Head of Tourism and Travel Department of UMD organizing training courses in advanced tourism studies in Kyrgyzstan. She published books about Kyrgyz ethnography and prehistory issues.
Alyona E. Maksakova
English Language Instructor
Alyona E. Maksakova – English Language Instructor. She graduated from the American University in Central Asia in 2004 (major - “American Studies”, minor - “Translator. Interpreter.”). Her teaching experience is more than 10 years. In 2011 she successfully completed a Summer E-Course “Critical Thinking in Teaching English as a Foreign Language” (the University of Oregon, Linguistics Department, American English Institute).She teaches: English Conversational, English grammar, English practice.
Ainura Usekova
Ainura Usekova graduated from Bishkek Institute of Languages and Humanities in 1993 and joined KRSU. She is Associate Professor at Kyrgyz Language Department of KRSU. While working at KRSU she has written a number of scientific articles on comparative grammar of the Russian and Kyrgyz languages, and published several learners’ guides on the Kyrgyz language. She is one of the authors of the teaching aid «Кыргыз тилин үйрөнөлү», and took an active part in the competition “The Best Learner’s Guide in Teaching the State Language,” organized by the National Committee on the State Language under President of Kyrgyz Republic in 2006 and was awarded a Diploma.
Atai Sadybakasov
Having spent almost two thirds of his life outside of Kyrgyzstan, Atai Sadybakasov has a unique point of view on the processes inside it. He is active in various fields, including business and tourism.He worked at the largest tour operator in the country as the head of Internal/Inbound Tourism organising large-scale events such as the 2010 Peking to Paris Rally, and is a current managing partner at the NewFormat design agency, with clients among the largest businesses in the country.
