I am used to working for new institutions. To be more precise, I have already been involved in the creation of several institutions already, including AUCA and IUCA. Therefore, here I would like to do my best to make the Plato University of Management and Design be a very developed and highly successful institution.
I see Plato UMD as a very serious and prestigious institution with a very strong team of students, faculty and staff. Besides academic programs aimed at giving high quality British and Kyrgyz diplomas, we are going to develop the professional programs that will guarantee highly paid and successful employment to our graduates.
In the Soviet Union we used to think that higher education was the panacea for a fruitful and happy life. Today we understand to achieve this we need more than higher education. We would like to assume that besides an academic specialty, a successful citizen should have professional skills in some societal area so that your role in your community will be a very positive one - and you will make the world a better place.
The BTEC program is accredited in Britain by EdExcel and is recognized in over 85 countries. The work you will do here is recognized everywhere, thus your BTEC/Plato UMD credentials will travel with you and be useful wherever you go. Everything is strictly controlled from Britain and no corruption or other behavior that would lessen the value of your degree will be permitted. The credit on your transcript is recognized worldwide and can be transferred to many institutions in many countries.
Plato UMD has programs in Business Management, Travel and Tourism and in Art and Design. All three meet British standards and each can lead to a rewarding career. There will be many opportunities to contact leaders in business and in the arts, both those who reside in Bishkek and those from abroad.
Life at Plato UMD is not all just serious study. Our students also have an active social life and there are opportunities for participation in sports and community activities.
So please come and learn about our university and find out if it is right for you. We aim to give you an interesting and useful education, which will benefit both you and your society in coming years.
